Bruin Football Varsity Warriors

A Varsity Warrior is a defensive award which is earned by the players. Varsity Warriors can be identified on the football field by the “V” on the back of the player’s helmet. A Bruin football player must achieve the following to become a Varisty Warrior:

 MUST BE A DEFENSIVE STARTER AND THE FOLLOWING MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED:

  • Have two turnovers in one game
  • Have four turnovers in one season
  • Make fifteen tackles in one game
  • Make forty tackles in one season
  • Have two quarterback sacks in one game
  • Have four quarterback sacks in one season
  • Score a defensive touchdown
  • Tackle an opposing player for a safety
  • *Any player who blocks a punt or PAT (*does not have to be a starter)

To maintain the "V" on the back of the player’s helmet, he must practice hard everyday for the rest of the year that he is a Varsity Warrior.
